Around the world with man’s greatest companion

In this rocky country located in the heart of Central Asia, nomadism has long been the only lifestyle of the Tchabanes. From June to October, the Kyrghyz shepherds leave their villages on horseback to reach the high pastures with their herd.

The Tchabanes are proud of their equestrian games, their favourite occupation. During this colourful event, they confront each other during impressive collective fights.

Arzimat will become initiated to the “odarich”: a surprising wrestling competition during which he has to unhorse his opponent.
